Room Attendant

We are currently searching for 2 FT Room Attendants to join our team.
A Room Attendant is responsible to maintain room quality and cleanliness; clean guest rooms in accordance with established quality and performance standards to allow a sufficient quantity of vacant and clean guest rooms for sale; and clean occupied guest rooms.

Responsibilities
Clean and reset guest bedroom and bathroom areas according to established standards
Organize and stock cleaning cart and organize linen closets on floors assigned
Complete any assigned duties accurately and in a timely manner
Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning product to adhere to health standards
Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests
Assist other housekeeping team members if required
Comply with HVD Occupational Health and Safety Programs and the Regulation of WorkSafeBC
Set a good safety example
Maintain that the work area, tools and equipment are clean, organized and in safe condition
Report any service discrepancies to the appropriate manager or supervisor to resolve where possible
Attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required
All other duties as assigned

Requirements
Previous hotel/housekeeping experience recquired
Flexibility to be available to work weekends and statutory holidays
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
Able to get along with others and work in a team environment
Should feel comfortable and possess the confidence in speaking with guests and capable of assisting them with information
Working knowledge of applicable WHIMS standards
Must be able bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks
Able to lift comfortably 25 lbs
Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different floors of the hotel on a timely basis
Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
Must follow all policies and procedures and Brand Standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31.12-$34.58 per hour
