What will you be doing
As a
Registered Early Childhood Educator
, you will work side-by-side with other teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:
• Take the lead in developing and implementing a program in line with Cedar Creek's curriculum that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
• Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.
• Observe and assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents, guardians and supervisor
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Adhere to all centre policies and procedures
• Follow all guidelines according to Ministry of Education CCEYA and ?how does learning happen? pedagogy
Base pay
based on experience *plus $2.00 WEG+ $1.00 GOG + CAWIG (base + $2.00 + $1.00 + $1-4) Minimum rate: $28.00 (New Grads - $21.00+$2.00+$1.00+ $4.00)
Qualifications
• Applicants must have a current Vulnerable Sector Check from the Regional police (within the last 6 months)
• Applicants must have a Current Standard C CPR/ First Aid Certification
• Applicants must have or be willing to get their Food Handlers Certification
• Good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators is an asset
• Experience in a childcare setting is a must
• Strong interpersonal skills to gain trust and respect of children and their parents
• Demonstrate skills working as a team and enjoy a team environment
• The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
• Fluent oral and written English language communication skills;
• Knowledge of HiMama/Lillio an asset

Additional information
This is a full-time position. Schedule: Monday to Friday. All shifts between 6:45 am and 6:00 pm, for a total of 9 hour shifts with an hour of unpaid lunch. Closed all Statutory Holidays.
