Our distribution client is seeking a detail-oriented <strong>Bookkeeper</strong> on a <strong>6-month contract, with potential to turn permanent,</strong> to join their finance team near Ayr, ON. Reporting to the Controller, you'll be responsible for handling <strong>full-cycle</strong> <strong>accounts payable</strong> while also assisting with a variety of <strong>day-to-day accounting activities</strong>. <br><br><em><u>Please note: This position is fully on-site</u></em><br><strong> </strong><br><strong>What You'll Be Doing:</strong><ul>	<li>Ownership of full-cycle bookkeeping; including AP and AR	<li>Manage the full-cycle AP, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payment runs	<li>Match vendor invoices to purchase orders and goods receipt documentation, and resolve discrepancies	<li>Verify, code, and process non-PO invoices	<li>Record invoices and payments accurately in the accounting system	<li>Maintain vendor records and respond to invoice and payment inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders	<li>Process employee expense reports and corporate credit card reconciliations	<li>Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs	<li>Download and prepare AP reports as required	<li>Assist with month-end reconciliations and supporting schedules	<li>Liaise with customer service, procurement, and other internal teams to ensure timely invoice processing	<li>Support the Accountant with day-to-day accounting tasks, with the opportunity to take on Accounts Receivable responsibilities over time	<li>Perform other ad hoc accounting and administrative duties as required</ul> <br><strong>We're Looking For:</strong><ul>	<li>Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field	<li>5+ years of Bookkeeping experience, including AP and AR	<li>Experience with ERP/accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel	<li>Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills	<li>Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships across departments	<li>A proactive, team-oriented individual who can prioritize competing deadlines and resolve issues professionally</ul><br>We would like to thank all applicants however only those under consideration will be contacted.<br><br><strong>To be eligible for this role, you must be legally eligible to work in Canada.</strong><br><br>Please note that we use AI tools as part of our recruitment process to enhance efficiency and improve candidate experience.<br>#ACC1
