Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)

This position is ideal for an RECE who enjoys working alongside Montessori educators in a Christ-centred environment. You will support the daily operation of our Montessori classrooms while helping create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children can grow academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

Position Responsibilities
• Support the Montessori Instructor in the daily operation of the classroom.
• Help prepare and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Montessori learning environment.
• Supervise and engage with children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, rest time, and daily routines.
• Build caring, respectful relationships with children and encourage independence through positive guidance.
• Observe children's learning and share observations with the teaching team.
• Assist with classroom documentation, attendance, daily reports, and incident reporting.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment by following CCEYA, Ministry of Education, Toronto Public Health, and centre policies.
• Communicate professionally with families and fellow staff members.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
• Work collaboratively with the teaching team to support each child's individual growth and development.

QualificationsRequired
• Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
• Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C Certification
• Valid Vulnerable Sector Check
• Strong knowledge of child development and early learning
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Positive, caring, and professional attitude
• Commitment to supporting a Christ-centred learning environment

Assets
• Experience working in a licensed childcare centre
• Montessori experience or an interest in Montessori education
• French or another language is an asset
