Ottawa Valley Car Rental is a growing, independently owned rental car company with locations in Pembroke and Renfrew. We are focused on providing reliable vehicles, responsive service, and a straightforward rental experience for our customers.We are looking for a dependable and organized Customer Service Representative to join our Pembroke office.

Position Overview
The Customer Service Representative will assist customers throughout the rental process and help coordinate the day to day activities of the Pembroke location.This is a varied position that requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, good judgment, and the ability to manage several responsibilities at once.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
• Assisting customers with vehicle reservations, rental agreements, check ins, and check outs
• Explaining rental terms, charges, insurance requirements, and company policies
• Answering telephone calls, emails, and customer inquiries
• Inspecting vehicles with customers at the beginning and end of rentals
• Documenting vehicle condition, mileage, fuel levels, and any reported damage
• Processing payments, deposits, and required rental documentation
• Coordinating vehicle cleaning and detailing
• Monitoring vehicle readiness and helping ensure vehicles are available when promised
• Completing administrative tasks, filing, data entry, and record keeping
• Assisting with fleet coordination and vehicle movement between locations when required
• Helping address customer concerns in a professional and practical manner
• Supporting other daily responsibilities necessary to keep the rental operation running smoothly
• Qualifications
• The ideal candidate will have:
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent reliability and punctuality
• The ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Good computer and administrative skills
• The ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks
• A professional and courteous approach when dealing with customers
• A valid Ontario driver's licence and a clean driving recordPrevious experience in the vehicle rental industry is a significant asset.
• Experience in automotive, hospitality, customer service, insurance, administration, or fleet operations would also be beneficial.
