With a customer-first mindset, we make doing business with McCain easy. About the role.As a Toteroom Operator, you will play a critical role in supporting packaging and warehouse operations by safely transporting, storing, and managing finished and in-process products. This role ensures a continuous flow of materials to production lines while upholding high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What you’ll be doing.Operate lift trucks safely and defensively to prevent product damage and workplace injuriesInspect pallets prior to dumping onto production lines to ensure quality standards are metMaintain consistent product supply to packaging lines to support uninterrupted productionAccurately scan, store, and move totes using WMS and SAP systemsComplete required documentation, including operator checklists and system entriesMaintain housekeeping standards and perform sanitation duties such as waste disposal and tote breakdownsManage forklift battery rotation and ensure all equipment remains in safe working conditionCommunicate effectively with team members on production needs, issues, or operational changesWork in cold storage environments and support tote/grading operations as neededContribute to SQCDME targets by understanding and supporting KPI performanceParticipate in cross-training initiatives and support additional production tasks when required What you’ll need to be successful.Grade 12 diploma or GED considered an assetValid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain certificationAbility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekendsKnowledge of lift truck operation and safe driving practicesStrong attention to detail with the ability to work independentlySelf-motivated team player with effective communication skillsAbility to lift up to approximately 40 kgExperience with WMS and SAP systems considered an assetComfortable working with cleaning chemicals and in cold environmentsCommitment to following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety standards About the team.You will be part of the Packaging and Warehouse Operations team, working closely with Packaging Coaches, Shift Coaches, and fellow operators.
