Our current and future projects include new high-end custom-built homes, Net-Zero projects, heritage restorations and renovations, along with a variety of large scale not-for-profit commercial work located primarily in the Vancouver area.</p><p><b><strong>About the Role</strong></b></p><p><br /></p><p>We're looking for an exceptional hands-on Carpenter who has a comprehensive skill set who can complete tasks across all aspects of residential renovation projects.</p><p>This position is for someone who has spent years mastering the craft of renovation work and understands how to read plans, organize the site, prioritize the work to be completed, solve problems independently, and consistently deliver quality craftsmanship without needing direction.</p><p> </p><p>This position includes all divisions of renovation work including selective demolition work, foundation forming, pouring and placing of concrete, framing additions, walls, stairs, hand cut roofs, decks etc. installing siding of various types, including the application of building wrap and waterproof membranes, setting windows and doors, the installation of finishing work of all types, including small drywall repairs, finish flooring installation, laying tile, cabinet installation and completing high-end finishing work.</p><p>You enjoy variety, take ownership of your projects, and lead by example.</p><p> </p><p>If you're the type of person who fits this description we want to meet you.</p><p> </p><p><b><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></b></p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Lead by example while working alongside the crew.</li><li>Execute a wide variety of construction tasks with minimal supervision.</li><li>Complete work efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality.</li><li>Read plans and anticipate construction challenges before they become problems.</li><li>Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, Architects, designers and subcontractors.</li><li>Mentor apprentices and junior carpenters.</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized and safe jobsite.</li><li>Ensure all work meets BC Building Code and TerrisCo quality standards.</li><li>Assist PMs and Site Supervisors with scheduling work, coordinating deliveries and managing site logistics.</li><li>Take ownership of your projects from foundation through final finishing.</li></ul><p> </p><p><b><strong>We're Looking For Someone Who Can Confidently Perform Most or All of the Following</strong></b></p><p><br /></p><p>You should be highly competent in the following areas and able to perform the work described to a professional standard:</p><ul><li>Site layout</li><li>Excavation preparation</li><li>Concrete forming and pouring</li><li>Structural framing</li><li>Timber framing</li><li>Roof framing</li><li>Roofing</li><li>Exterior siding and cladding</li><li>Building envelope details, membrane application and waterproofing</li><li>Flashing - head sill and jamb</li><li>Soffits and fascia</li><li>Window installation</li><li>Exterior and interior doors</li><li>Drywall installation and repairs</li><li>Interior finishing</li><li>Custom millwork installation</li><li>Hardwood, laminate and engineered flooring</li><li>Tile installation</li><li>Stair construction</li><li>Deck construction</li><li>
