Food Counter Attendant

Job description:
Donair Dude Kitsilano is looking for closing shifts and weekend, who is hardworking, responsible, and enthusiastic Team Associates to join our growing team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent customer service, and being part of a supportive team.

Duties
• Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and assemble menu items including donairs, wraps, platters, and side dishes, and beverages.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including grills, fryers, and ovens.
• Maintain food quality and presentation standards.
• Handle cash and electronic transactions accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Assist with food preparation, stocking, and inventory management.
• Keep the kitchen, food counter, dining area, and workstations clean and organized.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Support opening and closing duties as required.

Qualifications
• Previous restaurant or food service experience is an asset but not required.
• Experience in a shawarma, donair, or quick-service restaurant is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety, and quality standards.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old or older
• Willingness to learn new procedures and take on additional responsibilities as needed
• On-the-job training will be provided to motivated candidates with a strong work ethic.
