We are seeking a reliable and motivated
Cook
to join our team preparing nutritious, large-scale meals for schools across Prince Edward Island. This position focuses on consistent, high-volume food production that supports student health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and cook large-batch meals following established recipes and nutrition guidelines.
• Ensure meals meet food safety and quality standards (HACCP, Public Health regulations).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
• Portion, package, and label meals for delivery to schools.
• Work efficiently to meet daily production schedules and deadlines.
• Deliver meals to schools
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in a commercial or institutional kitchen
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and safe food-handling practices
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and manage batch cooking.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Drivers License
