Job Summary
Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and servicing guest rooms and assigned public areas in accordance with Hilton brand standards. This role plays a vital part in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment that enhances the overall guest experience.
The successful candidate will maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety while ensuring guest rooms are properly prepared for arrival. The Room Attendant will work collaboratively with other hotel departments, follow all hotel policies and procedures, and contribute to achieving guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
• Clean and service assigned guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas in accordance with Hilton brand standards and hotel procedures.
• Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities and supplies.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize guest rooms, paying particular attention to high-touch surfaces to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness.
• Remove garbage, soiled linens, and recycling from guest rooms and service areas.
• Inspect guest rooms to ensure cleanliness, proper room setup, and functionality before releasing rooms for occupancy.
• Report maintenance concerns, damaged furnishings, safety hazards, and lost-and-found items promptly to the Supervisor.
• Ensure all housekeeping carts are clean, organized, fully stocked, and maintained throughout each shift.
• Maintain clean, organized, and secure housekeeping storage rooms, linen closets, and work areas.
• Safely operate and maintain housekeeping equipment, including vacuums, carts, and cleaning tools.
• Handle and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with WHMIS requirements, manufacturer instructions, and hotel safety policies.
• Adjust room temperature and lighting in vacant rooms as required to support guest comfort and energy efficiency.
• Follow daily room assignments, special cleaning requests, and instructions from the Supervisor.
• Assist with deep cleaning projects, preventative maintenance programs, and other housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provide friendly, professional, and courteous service to guests while responding promptly to requests within the scope of the position.
• Collaborate with the Front Desk and Maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are ready on time and maintenance issues are resolved efficiently.
• Support the onboarding and training of new housekeeping team members when requested.
• Attend departmental meetings and training sessions to maintain knowledge of hotel procedures and brand standards.
• Follow all Hilton brand standards, workplace health and safety regulations, fire and emergency procedures, infection prevention protocols, and hotel policies.
• Wear the required housekeeping uniform and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned to support hotel operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Requirements

• Prior experience in housekeeping, cleaning, laundry or related jobs an asset
