Construction Labourer

We are currently seeking applications for a Construction Labourer to help in the installation of Lightning Protection Systems.
The work includes:
• Installing lightning cable, rods, connectors, anchors and fasteners on flat and sloped roofs
• Pulling / Installing riser cable in conduit / on walls from the roof system to the grounding system.
• Installing ground rods/plates/cable below grade in the ground.
The way we work includes:
• Crews (Foreman and 1 - 2 installers) assemble in our shop in Dundas Ontario each morning and drive in company vans to their jobsites on a daily basis.
• For more distant jobsites, crews will stay out of town over night. Meal allowance and accommodation is provided.
• Work days are Monday to Friday
Skills/experience we need you to have includes:
• Valid driver's license, clean driver's abstract and your own way of getting to/from our Dundas facility.
• Experience and ability in working with hand/power tools including electric drills/drivers.
• Work experience of 2 years preferred, preferably in roofing / landscaping or general construction.
• Ministry of Labour (Ont.) ?Worker Health and Safety Awareness? training an asset.
• First Aid and CPR training would be an asset.
• High school diploma preferred
• Good communication skills
Training we provide on the job includes:
• Trade training in Lightning Protection Systems to code standards (CSA, NFPA)
• Working from lifts/elevated platforms
• Job and project specific safety training
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
