We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable Home Support Worker to provide in-home total care for an elderly client living with Parkinson's disease. This role focuses on personal care, mobility support, companionship, and maintaining comfort and dignity in a private home setting. Training will be provided for specific care needs.
Duties
Assist with
personal care* (bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming)
Assist with
feeding and hydration*
Support
mobility and transfers
, including use of a
ceiling lift*
• Repositioning and comfort care
Provide
companionship and emotional support*
• Light housekeeping related to care
(laundry, linens, tidying care area)
• Monitor condition and report changes to family
• Assist with appointments or outings as needed
Qualifications
Experience in
home care, assisted living, hospice, or senior care* preferred
Experience with
Parkinson's disease or neurological conditions* an asset
• Physically capable of lifting and transfers
• Patient, flexible, dependable, and compassionate
Comfortable using a
ceiling lift*
Willingness to learn;
training provided for specific care needs*
• Criminal record check required
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
