Position: Kitchen Helper
*Location: Red Chillies Flavours of India, 936 Bedford Highway, Halifax, NS B4A 3P1* (Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends)
Job Responsibilities
• Assist chefs with food prep (chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, cut and marinating meats).
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen (washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, sweeping/mopping).
• Support inventory tasks (unpacking supplies, stocking fridge/freezer).
• Help with basic cooking tasks as needed (e.g., boiling rice, grilling naan).
• Follow food safety standards and team instructions during busy service.
Requirements
• No prior experience required ? training provided! (Bonus if you've worked in a restaurant or with Indian/South Asian cooking.)
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20kg.
• Reliable, team player with a positive attitude.
• Legal right to work in Canada.
