Responsibilities
• Assist Early Childhood Educators in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and curriculum.
• Support children's learning through play, exploration, and daily routines.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, meal times, rest periods, and transitions.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
• Observe and report children's progress, development, and any concerns to the lead educator.
• Encourage positive social interactions and help children develop communication and self-help skills.
• Support children with diverse learning needs and abilities.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
• Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and centre policies.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training as required.
Qualifications
• Valid Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) Certificate
recognized by the Province of British Columbia.
• Valid First Aid Certificate (Emergency Child Care First Aid & CPR or equivalent).
• Criminal Record Check clearance for working with children.
• Previous experience working with young children is an asset but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, caring, dependable, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
Pay: $17.85-$20.50 per hour
