Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Service Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities
• Perform diagnostic assessments and repairs on automobiles, trucks, and heavy equipment using hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and system inspections
• Operate and troubleshoot industrial equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery as needed
• Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to identify issues and implement solutions
• Utilize welding skills for repairs requiring metal fabrication or structural modifications
• Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs on vehicle systems
• Assist in the assembly or disassembly of mechanical components for repair or replacement
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
Qualifications
• Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or service technician; dealership experience is a plus
• Automotive service technician qualifications and red seal is preferred
• Strong mechanical knowledge with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators or cranes is desirable
• Knowledge of automotive repair standards and maintenance procedures
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong communication skills for customer interactions and team collaboration
• Relevant certifications or licenses related to automotive repair or heavy equipment operation are preferred but not required
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
