About Us
Helmand Kabab House is a well-established Afghan restaurant serving fresh, flavorful kababs, rice dishes, and traditional specialties. We're hiring Kitchen Staff to support our cooking and food prep team.
Responsibilities
• Prepare ingredients (chopping vegetables, marinating meats, prepping sauces) following recipes and portion guidelines
• Assist cooks with grilling, frying, and plating dishes
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen station
• Monitor food stock and inform management of low supplies
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
• Support during high-volume periods and catering orders
Requirements
• Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team environment
• Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 30 lbs
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
