Greenview Taphouse in Nanoose Bay, British Columbia is hiring a cook. Permanent, full-time, on-site position (work must be completed at the physical location — there is no option to work remotely). Evening, morning, shift and weekend availability required.
Greenview Taphouse serves elevated pub fare with 20+ rotating BC craft taps, hand-crafted pizzas and a focus on local ingredients, in a casual vintage sports-themed setting at Fairwinds Golf Club.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook menu items according to set specifications
• Manage mise en place and maintain a clean, efficient work station
• Execute consistent plating and food quality across all service periods
• Support banquet and high-volume events as needed
• Maintain health and safety standards, including proper cleaning and sanitizing
• Take part in daily prep and end-of-shift cleaning and closing duties
• Report equipment issues and ensure cleanliness of the assigned station
• Assist dishwashers or teammates as needed to keep service flowing
• Communicate with leadership about prep levels and par tracking
• Help train new team members on systems, safety and service expectations
Requirements
- Languages: English
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
- Able to work clean, stay organized and follow direction
- Strong focus on plating standards and food presentation
- Calm under pressure, efficient on the line and team-focused
- Familiar with health codes, food safety and proper cleaning procedures
